Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL returns to Australia in 2026 for a five-city headline tour.
Having made their first-ever live appearance in 2018 at Good Things Festival, BABYMETAL returned in 2023 for their debut headline run and performed as part of Knotfest Australia earlier this year, winning over fans with their unique brand of J-pop metal.
The band are touring in support of their fifth album, this year’s Metal Forth. The album peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200, making BABYMETAL the first Japanese act to break into the top ten of the US charts.
Metal Forth finds the band collaborating with a host of big-name acts, including Indian heavy metal trio Bloodywood, who are supporting BABYMETAL on their Aussie tour.
Flexing their muscles at Perth’s HPC on Thursday 12 March, BABYMETAL then hit Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Saturday 14 March, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Tuesday 17 March and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Friday 20 March, wrapping their tour in Brisbane at the Riverstage on Sunday 22 March.

Hailing from Tokyo, BABYMETAL formed in 2010, medling heavy metal with Japanese pop to create a unique sound that has seen them win fans across the globe.
It didn’t take long for the group to become metal favourites, with BABYMETAL having released five studio albums, won countless awards and gained millions of streams and followers on their social media platforms.
The current lineup is fronted by core members Suzuka Nakamoto (lead vocals, dancing), Moa Kikuchi (backing vocals, dancing) and Momoko Okazaki (backing vocals, dancing), with the group’s upcoming Aussie tour sure to be one for the ages.
