Ausify Launches New Campaign Public Displays of Ausify
Ausify wants listners to support Australian music by playing, loving and sharing their favourite artists with the world.

After launching last year in an attempt to get more Aussies listening to local music, Ausify returns for Good Music Month 2026 with a new campaign targeting music fans with a simple message: when it comes to Australian music, it's time to publicly play it, love it and share it.
The APRA AMCOS' Year in Review found some pretty disturbing data that the audience for Australian-made content declined to a new low of just 8.5% of all streaming audio. By 2030, this is expected to fall still further, to just 5%.
Australians are streaming local music 31% less than five years ago, while Australian artists' share of the 10,000 most-streamed acts in Australia fell from 12% to 8% between 2021 and 2024, and the number of Australian acts in that list dropped from 932 to 773.
You might think this is due to a lack of talent, but that's far from the case, with a national survey conducted by Music Australia revealing 84% of Australians say a defining life moment brings an Australian song to mind, and two-thirds could name the song. But sadly, only 27% say they've streamed an Australian artist in the past 12 months, which is a serious issue.
But it's not all bad news, with earlier research finding 71% of Australians feel pride hearing local music, 62% feel a connection to it and feel it is as good as international music and 66% want more of it.
So how do we bridge the gap between loving local music and listening to it in a world dominated by algorithms, playlists and international artists hogging all the streams?
Public Displays of Ausify (PDA) is the Ausify answer.
It's time for people to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to Australian music. That means buying and wearing your favourite artists' t-shirts, sharing bands and artists you're digging on social media, grabbing tour merch and generally telling anyone who will listen how great Aussie music is and who they should be checking out.

This new initiative is being backed by a host of awesome Aussie artists, including Ben Lee, Fanny Lumsden, Astrid Jorgensen, aleksiah, Ayesha Madon, Becca Hatch, Budjerah, Conor Jacob Smith (Midnight Til Morning), Georgia Maq, ISHAN, Missy Higgins, Nooky, Ruel, Vv Pete and many more.
"Australia produces some of the best music in the world. We punch well above our weight in terms of international success, global influence and underground artists on the forefront of culture. It doesn't make a lot of sense - but there has always been something magical about the music that comes out of this country," says Ausify ambassador and Australian music legend Ben Lee.
"The Ausify campaign this year isn't about convincing people that Aussie music is incredible - everyone already knows that. This year it's about being loud and proud about the music we listen to and love.
"I'm basically a professional music fan in that I can't help myself sharing what I love with everyone around me. I'm calling on everyone to join me in showing their love for Australian music in whatever way they like - tell a friend, get a tattoo, annoy people on the bus by blasting your favourite local track. Be loud and proud about the Aussie music that you love!"
The month-long campaign kicked off over the weekend with a karaoke session of rising local talent, belting out a super fun karaoke version of 'Love Is In The Air' in the campaign’s first Public Display of Ausify.
