A few months back, singer-songwriter Yukimi, best known as the vocalist of Sweden’s Little Dragon, shared the soulful pop creation ‘Get It Over’.
Co-written with Canadian musician Saya Grey, Yukimi revealed ‘Get It Over’ was “about feeling too lost to reply or take on responsibilities.”
Now she’s back with new track, ‘All Over Me’, which is taken from her upcoming EP, Yume.
Dropping Friday 5 November via Ninja Tune, Yume (pre-order/pre-save here), which means ‘dream’ in Japanese, is a genre-bending EP entwining elements of jazz, soul, electronic pop, hip hop, roots and psychedelia across four mind-altering tracks
“This EP wants to inspire people to dream,” Yukimi explains.
As for the single, ‘All Over Me’ explores the longing for romance without holding back, with Yukimi saying the song is about “Indulging in our passionate dreams.”

Yukimi’s Yume arrives just over six months after the release of her debut studio album, For You. The album allowed Yukimi to step away from her band and pursue new ideas, resulting in a personal collection of songs about love, loss, feminine energy and innate resilience.

The band have performed at Coachella and Glastonbury and collaborated with a who’s who of the music industry, including Mac Miller, Kali Uchis, Gorillaz, KAYTRANADA, Flume and De La Soul.
As a solo artist, Yukimi recently popped up on Little Simz’s ‘Enough’ and performed at the 30th edition of Meltdown, which was curated by Little Simz and featured performances from The Streets, Lola Young, Ghetts, Sasha Keable and Jon Baptise.
Yukimi has spent much of the European summer on tour, with The Note lucky enough to catch her performing at Sweden’s Way Out West festival, where she got the “crowd moving… with her words dulcet tones causing everyone to swoon.”
