Sibling duo Vika & Linda return in 2026 with their ninth album Where Do You Come From?, out Friday 5 June via Mushroom Music (pre-order here).
Vika & Linda’s first album of predominantly original material since 1996’s Princess Tabu, Where Do You Come From? is preceded by the title track, which is a question the sisters have asked themselves since they were young.
“Where Do You Come From? is a question we have been asked all our lives,” Vika & Linda said. “Is it because we don’t look the same? We ask ourselves – who are we? Where do we fit in? Who are we now? Where are we going? While we’ve been trying to figure it out, faces in Australia have changed and we don’t stand out anymore. And yet, as we look out at the world today, the question remains and the struggle continues.”
The album features contributions from Ben Salter, Glenn Richards, Helen Shanahan, Mark Seymour (who helped write ‘Where Do You Come From?’) and Cameron Bruce.
“This isn’t a light or fluffy record,” Vika says. “It’s real life, mistakes, forgiveness and trying to find some peace.”
Linda adds, “Every record has mattered, but this time we reached for something deeper.”
To commemorate the release of their new album, Vika & Linda are hitting the road on their biggest tour yet. Alongside their band The Bullettes, the pair are performing 46 shows across the country in every state and territory from May to October, including two shows in South Australia at Barossa Arts Centre in Tanunda on Friday 3 July and Thebarton Theatre on Saturday 4 July.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10am AEDT on Wednesday 25 February here.
From singing together in church to performing on stages across the globe, Melbourne sisters Vika & Linda have been out there getting it done for almost four decades.
During that time they’ve released eight studio albums, had multiple ARIA nominations, scored a #1 album with Akilotoa and been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the performing arts.
Admired by their peers and loved by their fans, Vika & Linda are two of Australia’s greatest voices who continue to evolve with every release.
