Breaking through in 1999 with her debut single ‘Have a Look’, Amorosi’s popularity skyrocketed a year later with the release of her first album, Power.
The album topped the ARIA Albums Chart and spawned the monster hits ‘Absolutely Everybody’, ‘Shine’ and ‘Power’.
Amorosi was so popular at that time that she was called upon to perform at the 2000 Olympic Games, belting out an amazing rendition of ‘Heroes Live Forever’ at the opening ceremony and turning things into a party with ‘Absolutely Everybody’ – the unofficial anthem of the games – at the closing ceremony.
Since then, Amorosi has released seven more albums, including 2023’s Dave Stewart produced Memphis Love, received 13 ARIA Award nominations, won an Australian Women in Music Award and played all over the world, cementing her place as one of the country’s great performers.
