After an incredibly successful five-year stint running the smash show 27 Club, Amplified House returns in 2026 with the highly anticipated follow-up production, Twenty Sixteen.
Taking over Gluttony, this new live performance celebrates the lives of some of the biggest artists that passed away during 2016, which includes legends such as David Bowie, George Michael, Prince, Leonard Cohen, Maurice White (Earth Wind & Fire), Sharon Jones, Leon Russell and many more.
Billed as a theatrical experience “combining captivating storytelling with curated visuals, top-end sound and lighting production,” Twenty Seven features an all-star seven-piece live band led by The Bamboos’ vocalist Kylie Auldist.
Joining Auldist on stage is a diverse cast of musicians that includes fellow singers Jaron Jay and Dusty Lee Stephensen (27 Club) – both multiinstrumentalists and acclaimed songwriters in their own right – along with top Adelaide musicians lead by MD Ben Todd (drums, percussion), Harrison Smith (trumpe, keys), Jack Strempel (keys), Felicity Freeman (bass guitar) and Nic Jeffries (saxophone, keys).
Twenty Sixteen runs from Thursday 19 February to Monday 9 March at The Fantail, Gluttony, with tickets on sale now via adelaidefringe.com.au.

“Whether in the realm of funk, folk, rock, R&B, soul or pop, these artists we’re celebrating were giants and considered visionaries as they broke new ground and sounds over the course of their multi-decade careers, becoming pop culture icons,” said Zac Tyler, Director and Producer of Amplified House.
“Their music became the soundtrack to our lives and, ten years on from losing them in 2016, one of the most memorable years in recent history, it’s time to revel in their artistry with a live show that’s both epically entertaining and educational like a good documentary delivers through music, footage and stories.”
For Kylie Auldist, 2016 was bittersweet - “Not only did my father pass away, but so did just about every musical idol I ever looked up to. This was also the year that my voice went number one around the world on the global smash hit ‘This Girl’ (Kungs vs Cookin’ On Three Burners), so I was incredibly busy and not able to dwell on things.
“I’m very much looking forward to having some time to reflect on everything that’s happened since and being able to celebrate the music and stories of these incredible artists alongside a talented team of amazing musicians and performers.”
Twenty Sixteen takes place at The Fantail, Gluttony from Thursday 19 February to Monday 9 March. Tickets on sale now via adelaidefringe.com.au.
