José González Announces 2027 Australia & New Zealand Tour

Acclaimed Swedish-Argentinian singer-songwriter José González returns to Australia and New Zealand in 2027.

Playing down under for the first time since 2024, González is touring his fifth studio album, Against The Dying Of The Light.

Exploring the rapid development of AI, technological responsibility and the challenges facing humanity, the album combines González's trademark fingerpicking and understated vocals with thought-provoking lyrics.

González's Australian tour begins at Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide on Wednesday, 24 February, followed by a concert at On The Banks in Brisbane on Thursday 25 February. González then performs at the iconic Sydney Opera House on Saturday 27 February, before heading to Palace Foreshore in Melbourne on Sunday 28 February.

The 'Heartbeats' hitmaker then makes his way to New Zealand for three shows at Meow Nui in Wellington on Tuesday 2 March, the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland on Wednesday 3 March and finally Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on Thursday 4 March.

Sydney Opera House Insiders and QPAC Members pre-sale commences at 11am AEDT on Tuesday 27 October, followed by Artist, Sydney Opera House What's On, QPAC Venue and Palace Foreshore Venue pre-sales at 11 am AEDT on Wednesday 28 October. Promoter and Spotify pre-sale kicks off at 11am AEDT on Thursday 29 October.

General public on-sale takes place at 11am AEDT on Friday 30 October via handsometours.com.

Breaking through in 2003 with his acclaimed debut album Veneer, which featured the huge hits 'Heartbeats' and 'Crosses', José González has established himself as one of the most distinct voices in music.

Blending intimate acoustic arrangements with philosophical and humanist themes, González has released five albums, including this year's Against The Dying Of The Light.

Renowned for his mesmerising live performances, González continues to connect with audiences through music that is both quietly powerful and deeply universal.
