Formed in 1983 by stepsisters Kristin Hersh and Tanya Donelly, Throwing Muses became big on the American college scene during the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. During that time the band released a slew of critically acclaimed albums, including Hunkpapa and The Real Ramona.
Throwing Musse disbanded in 1997, with Hersh pursuing a successful solo career before getting the band back together in 2003 and releasing their eighth studio album, Throwing Muse.
The band have continued to tour and release music over the past two decades, with Moonlight Concessions following on from 2020’s well-received Sun Racket.
