South Australian rock royalty The Superjesus will headline the 2026 Hostplus SANFL Grand Final entertainment at Adelaide Oval on Sunday 20 September.

Across a career spanning more than three decades, The Superjesus have established themselves as rock royalty, with the multi-ARIA Award-winning band having released four studio albums.

Taking to the stage before the first bounce, the band is pumped to get the chance to kick off Grand Final day.

"It is really exciting to be performing at the Grand Final because there is nothing quite like the feeling and the energy in the air," said The Superjesus vocalist and guitarist Sarah McLeod.

"It is one thing to be watching from the stands, but it is another level to feel involved and sans being athletic – this is the best I can hope for, and it's pretty cool."

Growing up a Crows and Norwood fan, McLeod has fond memories of watching the footy as a youngster.

"I was a Crows fan and this friend from school, she married a ruckman, David Pittman, from the Crows, so we were always surrounded by Crows talk, and the Jameson's and the Pittman's and the Ricciuto's and those fellows.

"I followed Norwood because my other friend from school – Kelly – her husband Johnny (Cunningham) played for Norwood in the SANFL, so we all went to Johnny's games and then we’d party at the Norwood Football Club.

"I once saw Craig McLachlan – he was just hanging out – and I was like, 'Wow, Craig McLachlan at the Norwood Football Club', Adelaide’s a vibe.

"I'm going for Norwood if Norwood get in, otherwise I'll go for Glenelg because I used to live there."

Grand Final day will also feature free family activities, more entertainment and giveaways across a range of fan activation zones. The pregame build-up includes a helicopter delivering the Thomas Seymour Hill SANFL Premiership Cup.

The SANFL Juniors Premiership teams and the 2026 SANFL State Junior Teams will also be celebrated at halftime in the Parade of Champions.

"There is no doubt that The Superjesus will add to the spectacle of Grand Final day and it is only fitting that we welcome one of the state's most celebrated bands to such a proudly South Australian event," said SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler.

"We encourage all footy fans to arrive early and soak up everything on offer before the opening bounce. All the ingredients are there for a memorable Grand Final."

The fun doesn't end at the final siren, with the return of the SANFL's "Play On" Afterparty, presented by The Advertiser and featuring entertainment from Fresh 92.7 and a live DJ set.

Free transport is available throughout the day for those with a valid match-day ticket, with services running for up to 45 minutes following the final siren.

The 2026 Hostplus SANFL Grand Final kicks off at 2:30pm on Sunday 20 September. Tickets are on sale via Ticketek, with free entry for U18s.
