The Original Wailers Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of ‘Legend’ with Australian Tour
The Original Wailers with Al Anderson are performing all the hits from Legend: The Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers.

After performing to near sold-out crowds across Australia last year, The Original Wailers with Al Anderson return this November to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Legend – The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers.
This incarnation of the Wailers will perform all the hits from the compilation album, Legend – The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers, including ‘Is This Love’, ‘Three Little Birds’, ‘Buffalo Soldier’, ‘I Shot the Sheriff’, ‘Could You Be Loved’, ‘No Woman, No Cry’, ‘Get Up, Stand Up’, ‘Jamming’, ‘Redemption Song’ and more.
The collective have announced six shows, commencing with a show in Fremantle at Freo.Social on Friday, November 7. The Wailers then perform at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel (Saturday, November 8), Adelaide’s The Gov (Wednesday, November 12), Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre (Friday, November 14) and Sydney’s Metro Theatre (Saturday, November 15), before bringing the tour to an end with a gig at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Thursday, November 20.

The Wailers were formed in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, with a revolving door of musicians performing with the group until they disbanded after Marley’s tragic death in 1981.
Wishing to keep Marley’s legend alive, the band got back together and have continued to tour the globe. There have been several different incarnations of The Wailers over the journey, with the most successful being The Original Wailers, which was formed by Al Anderson and Junior Marvin.
The Original Wailers have also released several albums over the past three decades, with the most recent being last year’s Evolution, which earned a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.
