The Wailers were formed in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, with a revolving door of musicians performing with the group until they disbanded after Marley’s tragic death in 1981.
Wishing to keep Marley’s legend alive, the band got back together and have continued to tour the globe. There have been several different incarnations of The Wailers over the journey, with the most successful being The Original Wailers, which was formed by Al Anderson and Junior Marvin.
The Original Wailers have also released several albums over the past three decades, with the most recent being last year’s Evolution, which earned a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.
