Matt Berninger is heading our way for his first solo tour of Australia and New Zealand. The frontman of divorced dad favourites The National has announced a four-date tour that includes shows as part of Brisbane’s Open Season and Sydney’s Vivid LIVE.
The tour is in aid of Berninger’s 2025 record Get Sunk, an album described in press material as “a sweeping and soul-stirring record that finds him resurfacing with clarity, vulnerability and wry humour intact.”
Written following Berninger’s move from Los Angeles to Connecticut, Get Sunk was inspired by his new surroundings and the people in his life.
Fans heading along can expect to hear songs from his latest album and selections from his 2020 solo debut Serpentine Prison, along withclassics from The National’s beloved catalogue.
