In the lead-up to The Lazy Eyes' long-overdue sophomore album, Cheesy Love Songs, out Friday 21 August via AWAL, the Sydney quartet has shared new single ‘How Does It Feel To Be In Love?’.
Taking influence from Coldplay and Brian Wilson, the single is a heartmelting piano ballad that asks the eternal question, “How does it feel to be in love?”
“For me, this song is one of the main pillars of the album in terms of its message,” shares songwriter Itay Shachar. “It asks a very simple question but which is almost impossible to answer, or that everyone could answer differently. I really like that open-ended nature. Sometimes I don't know how it feels to be in love but I miss the times when I think I have been and I guess the song also has a yearning quality to it for that reason.”
