Having spent the last couple of years touring their 2024 album Ninety Nine, South Aussie icons The Angels have announced another massive tour, this time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their classic track ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’.
Announcing the tour via social media, the band shared, “Is there a more Aussie experience than seeing the band performing the song, with the crowd chanting in unison?”
They also namechecked Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is a big fan of the song and declared during his 2025 election campaign that ‘There’s no better singalong than ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ by The Angels.”
The tour runs from June to November and includes 26 shows in six of the seven states and territories (sorry NT), with the final date a hometown show in Adelaide on Friday 6 November at Hindley St Music Hall.
Disgraceland will join The Angels on tour as special guests.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via theangels.com.au.

Released in March 1976, the original version of ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ was written by Doc Neeson, John Brewster and Rick Brewster as an acoustic ballad, with the band deciding to record the track as a rock song.
That decision proved a stroke of genius, with ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ quickly becoming a fan favourite.
A live version was released in January 1988 as the lead single from the band’s live album, Live Line. This release includes the now classic crowd response, “No way, get fucked, fuck off”, and made it all the way to #11 on the charts.
The Angels’ upcoming tour features John and Rick Brewster, John’s sons Sam and Tom and lead vocalist Nick Norton.
Catch The Angels at Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday 6 November. Tickets on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
