Melbourne metal maniacs Terminal Sleep are heading out on the road this July on the ‘Blunt Force Trauma’ tour.
The seven-date tour comes in support of the five piece’s forthcoming 7-inch vinyl release which contains two new songs, ‘Spineless’ and ‘Shadows’. You can pre-order the vinyl here.
The tour starts with a headline show in Melbourne at The Tote on Friday, July 19 and is followed by dates at Singing Bird Studios in Frankston on Saturday, July 20, Crown and Anchor in Adelaide on Sunday, July, 21, Newcastle Hotel in Newcastle on Thursday, July 25, The Lansdowne in Sydney on Friday, July 26, La La La’s in Wollongong on Saturday, July 27 and FTK6 in Canberra on Sunday, July 28.
Support for all shows bar Canberra comes from hardcore band Skorn. The Wollongong date will also include drag performances and music from Goethe, Major Arcana, L.O.W. and Takoba, while the Canberra gig will feature local acts Thantu Thikha, Born2Lose, Life Sentence, Dominant Hand, Moving Violation and Gravel.
Tickets for all dates are on sale now via Terminal Sleep.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for Melbourne’s Sleep Terminal. First gaining recognition after the release of their 2022 November debut EP, Chapter 1: No Solace, the band’s popularity went through the roof shortly after when an Instagram reel of the band performing single ‘Death Therapy’ live went viral.
The metal outfit fronted by Bec Thorwesten found themselves endorsed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 Rock Show host Daniel P. Carter and Trivium frontman Matt Heafy, with the exposure helping highlight their ripping 2023 sophomore EP, Chapter 2: Elicit Fear. The extra attention led to the band scoring a place on the Yours & Owls festival bill last October along with slots supporting The Amity Affliction and Void of Vision.
The release of their forthcoming two-track 7” vinyl marks another monumental moment in the band’s burgeoning career and is sure to sell out fast, just like their tour.
Terminal Sleep plays Adelaide’s Crown and Anchor on Sunday, July 21. For full ticket details click here.
