A year on from the release of their awesome sophomore album MAJORDOMO, Teenage Dads are back with brand new single, ‘Stay Between Us’.
The track is taken from Teenage Dads’ upcoming EP, My Memento, which arrives August 22 via Chugg Music. Described as an extension of last year’s MAJORDOMO, the EP builds on the band’s fresh indie rock sound, with the first taste, ‘Stay Between Us’, an uplifting adventure through guitar pop chords and frontman Jordan Finlay’s pleading vocals.
The track was self-produced and recorded by the band between their hectic touring schedule and captures “the ache of unsaid goodbyes.”
Speaking on the EP, Teenage Dads share that “My Memento was born out of a song we always believed in as well as the desire of giving back to our fans.”
The band adds, “While 3/4 songs were ‘hidden’ on MAJORDOMO, they all come from the same time and carry great memories. So, to us the EP feels like a souvenir of our album. We intended to keep the songs hidden on the vinyl but that changed when we saw our fans enjoying them, so much that people had made digital rips and self-appointed song titles, two of which we’ve used for the official release."
