Teenage Dads are getting into the Christmas spirit with the release of their new single, ‘Alone Again For Christmas’.
Fresh from supporting UK indie rock icons Franz Ferdinand at the Sydney Opera House, Teenage Dad’s latest is an upbeat ode to yuletide with a ‘60s boyband feel to it. Think The Beach Boys teaming with The Beatles for a Christmas jam.
The release of ‘Along Again For Christmas’ follows Teenage Dads’ My Memento EP, an extension of their acclaimed album Majordomo. The EP features four new tracks and came out ahead of the lads’ European tour in September of this year.
Speaking on the EP, Teenage Dads share that “My Memento was born out of a song we always believed in as well as the desire of giving back to our fans.”
The band are celebrating the release of ‘Alone Again For Christmas’ with a run of intimate festive shows, taking to Brisbane’s Crowbar (Friday 12 December), Melbourne’s Corner Hotel (Saturday 13 December) and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory (Saturday 20 December).
Fans are encouraged to get into the spirit and don their best Christmas paraphernalia, with tickets on sale here.
