ARIA Award winners Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have sent fans into a tizzy with the announcement of their hotly anticipated sophomore album, GLORY.
Dropping Friday 7 November via Mom+Pop Music (pre-save/pre-order here), GLORY is ten tracks of indie rock goodness that’s been described in press material as “an exploration of confidence, disgust, infatuation and power.”
Produced by three-time Grammy Award-winning producer Catherine Marks (boygenius, Wolf Alice), the album was recorded over five weeks in a bush studio in Darkinjung Land on the NSW Central Coast.
Accompanying the announcement was the release of new single ‘MOTHER’. Following the previously released ‘Balcony’ and ‘Unscarred’, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers’ latest banger features guitarist Scarlett McKahey on lead vocals for the first time.
“‘MOTHER’ is for every beautiful, magical lady who’s been caught in the crossfire of a man pretending to be good,” the band shares. “It’s about the built-up rage of watching incredible women being mistreated by inadequate men, over and over again, since the beginning of time.”
