Tandanya, the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute here in Adelaide, is hosting a series of free music pop-ups over the next week.
Held at Tandanya as part of the Adelaide Fringe on Friday, March 14, Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some of the best First Nations talents our state has to offer.
“From powerful storytelling through song to high-energy performances, this is a must-attend event for lovers of live music and First Nations talent,” reads the description of the event on Instagram.
The first pop-up on Friday, March 14 features soulful singer-songwriter Rob Edwards, trailblazing reggae rockers Coloured Stone, rising musician Scott Rathman Jr, who fuses contemporary sounds with traditional influences, and energetic hip hop act DEM MOB.
Night two takes place on Friday, March 21 with performances from rising indie folk artist Tilly Tjala Thomas, the soulful Sonia Smith and the powerful rock and roll of the Glenn Skuthorpe Band.
The final event occurs on Saturday, March 22 with a lineup containing the Glenn Skuthorpe Band, Coloured Stone and DEM MOB bringing things home.
