SXSW Sydney 2025 Adds 62 New Artists

After announcing the first lineup of speakers and artists appearing at this year’s SXSW, organisers have today revealed that a further 62 international and local artists will be performing at the week-long celebration.
Returning for its third year, SXSW Sydney runs from Monday 13 October to Sunday 19 October in venues across the CBD. The new artists making up the stacked program include boundary-pushing Indian singer-songwriter Rashmeet Kaur, rising US electronic Mom+Pop signee Vandelux, Indonesian rapper and producer duo Tenxi & Jemsii, Filipino neo-soul artist August Wahh, and New York City-based psych-garage rock band The Thing.
Newly introduced Aussie acts featuring are dreamy Meanjin/Brisbane crew blue diner, celestial Naarm/Melbourne indie-folk Holly Hebe, lo-fi psych-pop project Munan, and Eora/Sydney’s R&B and jazz underground artist Yasmina Sadiki.
There’s also a new round of speakers taking to the stage during the festival, touching on everything from AI’s impact on the music industry to how superfans are changing the way artists are marketed.
The list includes Outsidelands founder Bryan Duquette (US), Reservoir VP Creative James Cheney (US), Goldenvoice Festival Manager Rachel So, Partisan Records Head of A&R Chris Fraser, Director of Warp Publishing Theo Seffusatti and many more.
