Summer Sonic Reveals Date-Specific Lineup
Plan your day ahead of this year’s Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo and Osaka.

Summer Sonic have announced the playing days for artists appearing at this year’s Sonic Summer.
The Japanese festival takes place from August 14 to 16 in Tokyo at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Chiba and in Osaka at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita.
The Strokes will headline Tokyo on Friday 14 August and Osaka on Saturday 15 August alongside Bump of Chicken, FKA Twigs, Kasabian and Keshi.
A yet to be announced special act will headline Tokyo on Saturday 15 August 15 and Osaka on 16 August, with music legends David Byrne and Sakanaction, with new additions Alex Warren, Steve Lacy and Suede also performing.
Sunday 16 August in Tokyo and Friday 14 August in Osaka will see L'Arc-en-Ciel, who are celebrating their 35th anniversary, and Jamiroquai headline, joined by BABYMETAL, Le Sserafim, mgk and more.
Additional artists will be announced in the coming weeks, along with artist playing times.

First held in the year 2000, Summer Sonic is one of Japan’s longest-running festivals, with the Tokyo and Osaka events renowned for highlighting both Japanese acts and international artists.
According to Creativeman Productions CEO Naoki Shimizu, “Approximately 4.7 million people have joined us at Summer Sonic and Sonicmania over the past 24 years.”
Last year’s lineup featured Fall Out Boy, The Prodigy, Yungblud, Bloc Party, Camila Cabello, Jorja Smith and more.
