Alt-rock icons Spin Doctors are celebrating the 35th anniversary of their 1991 debut album Pocket Full of Kryptonite with an Australian and New Zealand tour next year.
This marks Spin Doctors’ first tour of the country since 1993, with the band going all out with shows in major cities and regional areas, along with a special gig in New Zealand.
Pocket Full of Kryptonite topped the Australian and New Zealand album charts and made it #3 on the US Billboard 200, with the singles ‘Two Princes’ and ‘Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong’ propelling Spin Doctors into the music stratosphere.
Speaking on the tour, Spin Doctors’ Chris Barron said, "I lived in Australia when I was a kid, and I’m friends with Dave Gleeson of Screaming Jets. It’s been something like 30 years since we played Australia, and we’ve never played New Zealand! Way too long! What have we been thinking?!?I’m beside myself with anticipation. I can’t wait to relive good memories, see old and new friends, and rock Pocketful Of Kryptonite!!!”

The band then play Adelaide’s The Gov (Wednesday 13 May), Geelong’s The Story House (Friday 15 May), Melbourne’s Forum (Saturday 16 May), Newcastle’s King Street (Monday 18 May), Port Macquarie’s Port Macquarie Race Club (Tuesday 19 May), Syndey’s Enmore Theatre (Thursday 21 May), Townsville’s The Warehouse (Friday 22 May), Brisbane’s Tivoli (Sunday 24 May) and Sunshine Coast’s Kings Beach (Monday 25 May), with the final show taking place at the Powerstation in Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday 27 May.
