Last in Australia in 2023, where they performed a run of headline shows along with appearances at Vivid LIVE and Dark Mofo, UK post-punk act Sleaford Mods return to our shores in 2026.
The Nottingham duo have announced five shows across the country in April, with Sleaford Mods pumped to perform a career-spanning set, including new track ‘Megaton’. The lads' Aussie jaunt comes after the band stepped away from performing live for 12 months.
“We took a year off ’cause I needed to get my nails did, and now we’re itching to get back out there and play live”, says Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson. “We released a new single ‘Megaton’ last month, it’s an absolute banger so we’re buzzing to play that live for the first time. Who knows, we might have a few more new tracks to drop by then. Either way, it’s been a while since we toured, and we’re gagging for it.”
Sleaford Mods’ Australian tour begins at Fremantle Arts Centre in Freo on Saturday 11 April. The duo then perform at Melbourne’s The Forum on Tuesday 14 April, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday 17 April, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday 19 April and Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Tuesday 21 April.

One of the more unique acts to come out of the UK in recent years, Sleaford Mods have found a worldwide fanbase with their minimalist sound.
Andrew Fearn’s post-punk electronic instrumentation lays the foundation for vocalist Jason Williamson’s talk-speak lyrics about British culture, often addressing social, class and political issues.
Taking some time off after the release of 2023’s UK Grim, Sleaford Mods returned this year with the dancey single, ‘Meagton’. Proceeds from the song are going to War Child, a commitment the band have deepened with this tour by partnering with PLUS1 to give $1 from every ticket sold to the charity.
