Rum Jungle Hit the Road for ‘Marginalia’ Australian and New Zealand Tour 2026
The Newcastle four-piece are touring in support of their upcoming second album, Marginalia.

Mulubinba/Newcastle alr-rock outfit Rum Jungle have announced the release of their sophomore album, Marginalla, out Friday 5 June (pre-order here).
There aren’t a lot of details surrounding the album, although it will feature the band’s latest single, ‘Lowlife’.
“This one’s a big belter about not feeling yourself!” the band wrote on social media. “Sometimes your brain can get in the way and you forget that it can be better to leave it all behind.”
Along with sharing their latest single, Rum Jungle have revealed a run of tour dates with support from good mates sleepazoid (check out our chat with them here) and Local the Neighbour.
The tour kicks off in New Zealand with shows at Auckland’s Tuning Fork on Thursday 11 June, Wellington’s San Fran on Friday 12 June and Christchurch’s Wunder Bar on Saturday 13 June.
Rum Jungle returns to Oz for six more shows at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday 19 June, Sydney’s Roundhouse on Friday 26 June, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday 27 June, Perth’s Astor Theatre on Friday 3 July and Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Saturday 4 July, with the final concert taking place at Hobart’s In the Hanging Garden on Sunday 5 July.

Hailing from New South Wales, Rum Jungle are an indie rock quartet comprising Benny McIntyre (vocals and guitar), Josh Giles (guitar), Michael Kolmajer (bass guitar) and Frazer McDonald (drums).
Releasing a slew of EPs during their early years, Rum Jungle dropped their debut studio album, Recency Bias, last year. Peaking at #9 on the ARIA Albums Chart, the record received positive reviews, with UK music mag DORK calling it an “album that'll soundtrack your spring-summer afternoons perfectly well.”
After a monster regional tour last year, Rum Jungle are excited to get back on the road and perform tracks from their upcoming second album.
