UK producer Rival Consoles, aka Ryan Lee West, has announced his return to Australia for a run of shows in January 2026.
Rival Consoles will bring his new A/V show to intimate venues across the country, performing tracks from his most recent album, this year’s Landscape from Memory.
Widely acclaimed by critics, DJ Mag wrote in their review that listening to the album is like “peering into a diary — amorphous memories traced by time — soundtracked by intimate club scuffle (‘Catherine’, ‘Coda’) and mournful mood boards (‘Tape Loop’, ‘Soft Gradient Beckons’).
Rival Consoles’ Australian tour begins at Byron Bay’s Byron Theatre on Friday 23 January and continues with dates at Brisbane’s Powerhouse on Saturday 24 January, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Sunday 25 January, Melbourne’s Recital Centre on Saturday 31 January and Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Friday 6 February, with the final show at Canberra’s Street Theatre on Sunday 8 February.

Rival Consoles has been releasing music consistently for close to two decades. The alias of Leicester-born Ryan Lee West is deep in the British electronic scene, having released five EPs, nine studio albums and a slew of remixes over the journey.
This year saw Rival Consoles produce his first soundtrack for the video game MindsEye, which is much better than the game itself.
Merging electronic shoegaze productions with ambient cinematic elements, Rival Consoles’ live shows are both audibly and visually stunning, with West camped behind several synths and keyboards as lights flash and images are projected onto large screens.
Catch Rival Consoles at Lion Arts Factory on Sunday 25 January. Tickets on sale now via rivalconsoles.net.
