Touring alongside Melbourne’s melodic death metal crusaders Be’lakor on their Australian east coast tour, PERSEFONE and Orpheus Omega have announced a special one-off gig in Adelaide.
Taking place at Lion Arts Factory on Sunday 12 October, the concert promises to be a night of face-melting metal, with PERSEPONE appearing in Australia for the very first time.
The Andorran progressive death metal act have been damaging eardrums for almost 25 years, while fellow death metal purveyors Orpheus Omega will be celebrating the ten year anniversary of their seminal album Partum Vita Mortem.
If that’s not enough to fill your heavy metal cup, local support comes from metal bandits Storm The Crown and powerhouse metal rockers Impetus.

Formed in 2001, PERSEFONE, whose name is derived from the Greek mythological figure Persephone, have released six albums across their almost 25 year career.
The current lineup includes original members Toni Mestre Coy (bass) and Carlos Lozano Quintanilla (guitar) alongside Miguel “Moe” Espinosa (keyboards). Sergi Verdeguer (drums), Filipe Baldaia (guitar) and Daniel R. Flys (vocals).
Their most recent release was last year’s Lingua Ignota: Part I, an EP that Metal Injection called “a genius, modern metal album.”
Melbourne’s Orpheus Omega have been at the centre of Australia’s death metal scene since coming together in 2008.
Comprising Chris Themelco (vocals, lead guitar), Luke Ashley (guitar), Campbell Hill (keyboards and backing vocals), Leon Monaco (bass) and Matt Themelco (drums), Orpheus Omega have released five albums, with their most recent being last year’s Emberglow.
