King Parrot Announce 2025 Australian Tour
The Aussie grindcore rebels are touring in support of their latest album, A Young Person’s Guide to King Parrot.

Currently ripping it up across the States supporting Pantera and Amon Amarth, Aussie grindcore icons King Parrot have announced a run of Australian shows taking place later this year.
The tour comes in support of their fourth long player, A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot. Ten tracks of brutal riffs and breakdowns, the album has received high praise from the media, with Heavy Mag calling it a “defiant statement of identity, chaos and craft.”
The band’s upcoming A Young Person’s Guide to King Parrot Tour takes in all the places they missed on their earlier tour of the country, including South Australia, from October to December.
“We’re beyond excited to get back out to the homeland and play all the spots we missed on the first leg, so Queensland, WA and SA (And Ballarat and Albury ;)), brace yourselves as we prepare to bring the KP grind carnage your way,” the band said in a statement.
“New songs, new drummer, and renewed energy and intensity off the back of a 45 show North American tour!”
Kicking off with three shows in Queensland at Caloundra, Brisbane, and Burleigh Heads, King Parrot then hit Perth, Adelaide and Ballarat before wrapping things up in Albury.

Formed in Melbourne in 2010, King Parrot have been making a nuisance of themselves for the past 15 years.
Dropping their debut album Bite Your Head Off in 2012, the lads followed up with Dead Set (2015) and Ugly Produce (2017), both of which peaked at #21 on the ARIA Album Charts.
Spending much of the past five years touring both locally and internationally, the band finally got back in the studio for this year’s A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot.
The current lineup of vocalist Matthew “Youngy” Young, lead guitarist Ari “Mr. White” White, rhythm guitarist Andrew “Squiz” Livingstone-Squires, bassist Wayne “Auntie Slatts” Slattery and new drummer Max Dangerfield can’t wait to hit the road again and perform tracks from their new album for their Aussie fans at the backend of the year.
