Legendary songstress Diana Ross has announced her first Australian concert in more than two decades, with the Queen of Motown headlining the Sydney Summertime concert series, which also features concerts from The Strokes and Kings of Leon.

The icon will bring Diana Ross Freedom in Motion to Centennial Park for an exclusive, one-night-only concert on Friday 5 March 2027, with the performance taking place on the eve of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

Rising to fame as the leader of The Supremes in the '60s, the group released hit singles including 'Where Did Our Love Go', 'Stop! In the Name of Love' and 'You Can't Hurry Love'. Ross continued to have success as a solo artist after leaving the group in the '70s, breaking boundaries with timeless classics including 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', 'Upside Down', 'The Boss', 'Touch Me in the Morning', 'Endless Love' and 'I'm Coming Out'.

Taking over Sydney during one of the city's most celebrated weekends, Ross will deliver all her biggest hits with support from British electronic duo Groove Armada, taking to the decks for a set of dancefloor anthems, including 'Superstylin', 'I See You Baby' and 'My Friend'.

Fans keen to secure tickets early can sign up for the Endless Love pre-sale here, which runs from 9am-12pm AEDT on Monday 9 November.

The Sydney Summertime, Black Peach and Moshtix Mailing List pre-sales run from 9am-12 midnight AEDT on Tuesday 10 November.

General public on-sale kicks off at 9am AEDT Wednesday 11 November via moshtix.com.au.

Created and presented by Black Peach Touring, the new concert series is the first major project from founders and directors Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley, who each bring more than 30 years of experience in Australia's live music industry.

"Diana Ross is an absolute icon and to have her choose Sydney Summertime for her only Australian show, one night only in Centennial Park, on the eve of Mardi Gras is exactly the kind of unforgettable moment we created this series for. It’s going to be something very special," says Ducrou and Huntley.

Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper adds, “Diana Ross is one of the most iconic performers in music history, with a career spanning decades and a catalogue of hits loved by generations of fans. To have an international superstar of her calibre headline at Sydney Summertime for an Australian-exclusive performance is a major coup for NSW. Events like this are a powerful driver of tourism. They bring more visitors to our state, generating economic benefits for local businesses and jobs, and reinforce NSW’s reputation as a destination for world-class live music and entertainment."
