October is shaping up to be a huge month for Aussie Oasis fans. Not only are the Gallagher brothers touring the country for the first time in two decades, but the Brit-pop icons are also releasing a deluxe 30th anniversary edition of their sophomore album, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?.
Ahead of the album dropping on Friday 3 October via Big Brother Recordings (pre-order here), Oasis have shared an unplugged version of ‘Morning Glory’. This is one of five unplugged tracks that appear on the deluxe 30th edition alongside ‘Cast No Shadow’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’.
The new unplugged tracks were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho from the original master recordings at Noel’s studio, Lone Star Sound, in London.
The deluxe edition features new artwork shot by Brian Cannon, who designed the original sleeve, along with new liner notes. There will be five different coloured vinyl formats up for grabs, with all versions comprising the 2014 remastered version of the album alongside the new bonus versions.
The record will be available in limited edition 2CD and 3LP formats, along with a digital release. The release of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory follows last year’s 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe.
