Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are releasing a live recording of their eighteenth studio album, Wild God.
Recorded during the band’s run of shows across the globe in 2024 and 2025, Live God arrives December 5 (pre-order/pre-save here). Available in 2LP and 2CD formats, the live record features Wild God tracks such as ‘Joy,’ ‘Frogs’ and ‘Cinnamon Horses’, along with Cave classics like ‘Into My Arms’, ‘O Children’ and ‘Red Right Hand’.
The CD and digital releases include three bonus tracks: ‘Long Dark Night’, ‘White Elephant’ and ‘O Wow O Wow (How Wonderful She is)’.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have also shared a music video for the title track ahead of the album’s release, which arrives just under two months before the band embarks on their Australian and New Zealand tour.
“I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand with The Bad Seeds and to bring you our epic Wild God show,” Cave said in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve missed both Australia and New Zealand very much. It will be a wild and mighty joy.”
The Wild God Tour begins in Perth at Fremantle Park on Saturday 17 January, before heading to Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Tuesday 20 January. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds then perform two shows at The Domain in Sydney on Friday 23 January and Saturday 24 January and one show at Brisbane’s Victoria Park on Tuesday 27 January, followed by three gigs in Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens on Friday 30 January, Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February. The tour wraps up at Wellington's TSB Arena with two shows on Thursday 5 February and Friday 6 February.

The first album to feature the full Bad Seeds lineup since 2016’s Skeleton Key, Wild God was a commercial and critical success.
Produced by Cave and Warren Ellis and mixed by David Fridmann, the ten-track album was preceded by the singles ‘Wild God’, ‘Frogs’ and ‘Long Dark Night’. The Guardian awarded Wild God an impressive five stars in their review, calling it a “masterpiece [that] will make you fall back in love with life,” while Pitchfork wrote “the album sounds as haunted as it is healing.”
Cave described the album as “a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious,” adding, “There is never a master plan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy. There’s no fucking around with this record. When it hits, it hits. It lifts you. It moves you. I love that about it.”
