Music in Exile’s 5th Anniversary Tour Heads To Adelaide
Celebrate the not-for-profit’s fifth birthday with a night of diverse musical offerings.

Not-for-profit record label Music in Exile is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year with a national tour, including a stop in Adelaide at Nexus Arts next month.
The folks at Music in Exile are dedicated to championing culturally and linguistically diverse artists and creating access pathways for these artists to thrive.
After five years of shining the light on some incredible talents, the organisation are presenting a special event in Adelaide on Saturday, May 3.
Teaming with our very own Nexus Art, the live music showcase features a host of amazing artists Music in Exile have helped nurture over the years. The lineup includes singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Ashkan Shafiei, producer and DJ extraordinaire Chef Chung, contemporary Chinese/Australian composer Mindy Meng Wang, experimental pop chameleon Sui Zhen and DJ Nantale.
Tickets are on sale now via Humanitix, with everyone who purchases a ticket going in the running to win an Audio Technica Soundburger portable Bluetooth turntable and travel case.

Music in Exile have also released a compilation vinyl to commemorate their birthday. Music is Everything (pre-order here) contains ten tracks from an assortment of Music in Exile artists, including Jarabi Band, Mindy Meng Wang and Maryam Rahmani, with several of the songs on the compilation previously unreleased.
Over the past five years, Music in Exile has done great things for musicians with lived experience of migration and displacement working in the Aussie music industry. The not-for-profit organisation has paid over $500,000 directly to artists for recording and touring, helped release 36 albums and EPs and supported over 240 live events in every state and territory.
This event is a fantastic way to celebrate all the great work Music in Exile are doing and to show your support for the organisation and the artist it’s helping.
