Leftfield Announces 2026 Australian and New Zealand Tour
Leftfield returns to Australia and New Zealand for the first time in eight years.

British electronic icons Leftfield return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026 for the first time in eight years.
The runs of shows come in celebration of Leftfield’s 35th anniversary, with the group set to perform all their biggest hits, including ‘Original’, ‘Release the Pressure’, ‘Phat Planet’, ‘Open Up’, ‘Song of Life’ and ‘Afro Left’.
Speaking on the shows, Neil Barnes shared, “It will be 36 years since I released the first Leftfield track, ‘Not Forgotten’, and 31 years now of Leftism. It feels like the perfect time to celebrate and I’m so pleased that finally we get to come back to New Zealand and Australia. Let’s make it unforgettable. Can’t wait to see you there!”
Sadly, there are no Adelaide shows booked, with punters having to travel interstate to catch Leftfield, who will be supported by Australia’s Godfather of Techno, Late Nite Tuff Guy, at all Aussie shows.
Leftfield’s tour kicks off with a spot on the Electric Avenue bill at Hagley Park in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Saturday 28 February. Concerts at Auckland’s Powerstation on Sunday 1 March and Wellington’s Meow Nui on Monday 2 March follow, before Leftfield head to Australia for three final shows at Brisbane’s Tivoli on Thursday 5 March, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Saturday 7 March and Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens as part of Live in the Gardens on Sunday 8 March.

Formed in 1988, Leftfield led the British dance music charge in the ‘90s, becoming known for their incredible live performances and seminal albums Leftism (1995) and Rhythm & Stealth (1999), both of which were nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
Originally comprising the duo of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, Leftfield went on hiatus in 2002 before Barnes revived the group in 2010, going on to release the group’s acclaimed 2015 third album, Alternative Light Source, followed by 2022’s This Is What We Do.
Leftfield has spent much of this year touring and celebrating 35 years together, and will continue that run of shows in Australia and New Zealand next year.
