‘Space for You’ is the latest single from award-winning Adelaide singer-songwriter Laura Hill. Her first release of 2025, ‘Space for You’ is a deeply personal folk-pop song examining vulnerability and connection.
Mixed by producer Mario Spate at Danger Deer Recording Studios and recorded by Lewis Wunderberg at Wundenberg’s Studios, the tune features local musos Andreanna Massacci (drums), Bree Tranter (keys), Joshua Morphett (guitars) and Milush Piochaud (bass).
“Most of us are trying to understand or navigate something internally,” says Hill about the song. “Holding space for someone is about creating a small corner of your heart where they can share their feelings without judgment, while also being mindful of your own emotions. It’s messy, sometimes awkward, but always worth it.”

Hill adds, “The energy of tracking live is magical – you never know what’s going to happen, but when it clicks, it’s like catching lightning in a bottle. Everyone held space for me, and I’m so grateful for the care and talent they brought to this track.”
A soulful and emotive listen, ‘Space for You’ is reminiscent of Bess Atwell and Julia Jacklin, with Hill’s emotive lyrics exploring the human condition over three and a half glorious minutes.
Hill is launching the single with a gig at Big Easy Radio on Friday, February 28. Joined by her band, the show is a free event with punters encouraged to donate what they can.
