Getting back together in 2022 and embarking on a tour earlier this year celebrating their seminal album Hymns For The Non-Believers, Kisschasy have announced their much-anticipated fourth studio album, The Terrors of Comfort.
Set for release on February 13 2026 (pre-order here), The Terrors Of Comfort is Kisschasy’s first album since 2009’s Seizures and will include recent singles ‘Lie To Me’, ‘Parasite’ and just-released track ‘Uncomfortably Numb’.
“‘Uncomfortably Numb’ is the song that best embodies the theme of the new album; the idea that comfort can be a bad thing,” explains Kisschasy’s Darren Cordeux. “It’s a song about restlessness, about stagnation, about wanting to snap out of that daydream that’s devoid of fear, passion, desire or drive. It’s about wanting to feel something.”
Cordeux adds, “When producing the song we wanted the music to mirror the lyrics; the verses are reminiscent of a lullaby with their waltz-like feel while the choruses detonate into a desperate cry for help, snapping the listener out of that false sense of calm.”

The Terrors of Comfort was recorded between Melbourne’s Woodstock Studios and Los Angeles’ Hermon’s Hermit Studio. Cordeux was behind the boards, producing and engineering the record alongside Richard Stolz, who helped out with additional engineering duties.
Kisschasy roped in some big dogs to help with the mixing and mastering, enlisting John O’Mahony (Hole, Coldplay, The Cribs) and Ian Sechick (Gwen Stefani, Pantera, Jawbreaker).
Discussing the album’s title, Cordeux says, “The title came from an old ‘70s Museum of Modern Art exhibition called The Pleasures and Terrors of Domestic Comfort. I’d rediscovered the catalogue on my bookshelf and thought to myself “that’s the common thread to all these songs”. ‘Lie To Me’, ‘Parasite’, ‘Uncomfortably Numb’, are all about where you end up when you seek comfort above all else.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Kisschasy have been announced as support for Good Charlotte’s upcoming February 2026 Australian tour, along with Yellowcard.
