King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Announce New Album ‘FLIGHT b741’
This is the Melbourne collective’s 26th album in a career spanning just 14 years.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, arguably Australia’s hardest-working band, are prepping for the release of their 26th album, FLIGHT b741.
The musical collective took to Instagram to reveal the album’s title, artwork and track listing. The ten-track album will be released on Friday, August 9 through the band’s new label p(doom) Records. FLIGHT b741 will be available for pre-order on Tuesday, July 9.
Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Stu Mackenzie captioned the post with this message: “Been working real hard on this one. So excited for you all to hear it! Thanks for flying. Love, stu xo.”
The band also revealed the album’s first single is also dropping on Tuesday, July 9 and will be accompanied by a music video shot by Guy Tyzack. You can check out the tracklist and album cover below.

The announcement of FLIGHT b741 comes after a rather subdued 2023 that saw King Gizzard spend much of the year touring America. They did find the time to release two records though, the heavy masterpiece PetroDragonic Apocalypse Or, Dawn Of Eternal Night: An Annihilation Of Planet Earth And The Beginning Of Merciless Damnation and the electronic themed, The Silver Cord.
FLIGHT b741 will be released on Friday, August 9. You can pre-order the album on Tuesday, July 9 via the band’s website.
The UK indie rockers will perform Get To Heaven in its entirety on the tour.
The Augie March founder has announced 11 shows across October and November.
