Hitting the road from September to November in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Jeff Buckley’s iconic debut album Grace, Australian singer-songwriter Katie Noonan has today shared an EP of Buckley covers.
Jeff Buckley’s Grace Acoustic EP (listen here) features Noonan performing five Buckley songs – ‘Last Goodbye’, ‘Lover, You Should Have Come Over’, ‘Mojo Pin’, ‘Grace’ and ‘Dream Brother’.
Speaking on her affection for Buckley and his music, Noonan says: “I am deeply honoured to pay homage to the album that was the single biggest influence on my journey as a musician. Seeing Jeff and his band play live when I was 18 changed my life irrevocably, and it feels so special to be bringing these songs to life 30 years later alongside wonderful muso mates.”
Noonan’s 24-date tour performing Buckley’s Grace includes stops in capital cities such as Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, along with regional concerts in the likes of Geelong, Wangaratta and Birtinya.
Jack Carty will accompany Noonan at all shows in SA, WA, TAS, QLD, ACT and NSW (except Albury), while Georgia Fields and Andromeda String Quartet are taking to the stage at all VIC shows and in Albury.
