Dream On Dreamer Announce 'Hope/Heartbound' Australian Tour

The band are celebrating 17 years of 'Hope' and 15 years of 'Heartbound' with OG bassist Michael "McCoy" McLeod back in the fold.

Melbourne metalcore veterans Dream On Dreamer are embarking on a national tour this October to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut album Heartbound, and the 17th anniversary of their EP Hope.

These shows will also see the band joined by OG bassist and clean vocalist Michael "McCoy" McLeod, perfomring with the band for the first time in over a decade after he left the group in 2012 to spend more time with his family.

Fans can expect to hear all their favourite songs from both releases, along with classic tracks from Dream On Dreamer's stacked catalogue.

Dream On Dreamer will be supported by special guests alt-rockers Wayside and Adelaide's own alt., with both bands appearing across select dates.

The tour kicks off in Brisbane at Crowbar on Friday 30 October, followed by dates at Max Watts in Melbourne on Saturday 31 October and UniBar Adelaide in Adelaide on Sunday 1 November. Dream On Dreamer then heads to Sydney's Crowbar on Friday 13 November before bringing things to a close in Canberra at UC Refectory on Saturday 14 November.

Formed in 2009, Melbourne's Dream On Dreamer made a splash a year later with their Hope EP, which led to the quartet supporting Pierce the Veil on their Australian and New Zealand tour.

The band's debut album Hearbound dropped in 2011. It was nominated for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Awards, quickly cementing Dream On Dreamer as one of the country's most exciting heavy guitar acts.

Dream On Dreamer have gone on to release five more albums, including this year's Heavens, and despite personal changes over the journey, remain a favourite amongst the Australian heavy scene.

The addition of McCoy for this upcoming tour means tickets are sure to sell fast, so grab yours now before they're all gone.
