Hot on the heels of well-received tracks 'Cult of Celebrity' and 'Bang Bang Bang', Brighton punk rockers Lambrini Girls have shared the double single 'The Basement/Spilt', taken from their sophomore album No Refunds, out Friday 15 January via City Slang.

The duo of Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin Macieira (bass) continues to expand their sound with both singles. 'The Basement' features Lunny's signature aggressive vocals over a melodic rhythm and takes aim at the manosphere, while 'Spilt' goes in an entirely different direction – it's an acoustic number about alcohol dependency that showcases a more vulnerable side to the band.

"It was exciting and challenging to do something that's so different to the rest of the album and what we do in general, but to make it as powerful in its own way," says Macieira of 'Spilt'.

No Refunds is a much darker listen compared to the band's breakthrough 2025 debut album Who Let The Dogs Out. It's inspired by the last two years that have been incredibly difficult for both Lunny and Macieira, with Macieira stepping back from touring last year for a period of time due to burnout, which triggered a manic episode as a symptom of her bipolar disorder, while Lunny suffered a brain injury during the band's first Australian tour.

Detonating on the global music scene with their 2025 debut album Who Let The Dogs Out, Lambrini Girls took the riot grrrl baton and ran with it, receiving high praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Kerrang! and Paste.

They count Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna, Iggy Pop and Sleater-Kinney as fans and have shared stages with IDLES, Amyl & The Sniffers and more, while also playing Bonnaroo, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Rock En Seine, Oya, Way Out West, Flow and Primavera Sound.

Lambrini Girls have announced a huge run of UK, European and North American dates for 2027 in support of No Refunds, and our fingers are crossed they announce some Aussie shows soon.
