British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith continues to lean into the world of club music with her latest release, ‘The Way I Love You’.
The bass-heavy single from the two-time BRIT Award winner is a garage banger that harks back to the golden age of the UK underground dance scene.
“‘The Way I Love You’ is just so much fun. It takes me back in time - there’s something nostalgic about it, but now at the same time,” Smith says of the single. “I had the pleasure of working with Maverick Sabre, Ed Thomas and Shayk on this one. Every time I play it with my girls, I get so hyped - it’s a proper head-skanker.”
The single is accompanied by a music video directed by KC Locke, which pays homage to the legendary Sheffield nightclub Niche Night Club.
The release of ‘The Way I Love You’ follows a string of successful collaborations with the likes of AJ Tracey, Shygirl and Major League DJz, along with the release of an acoustic version of Smith’s well-received 2024 single, ‘High’.

Having toured Australia last year, Smith’s love affair with the country continues, with the effervescent singer making a whirlwind stop in Sydney two weeks ago. Smith spent 48 hours in the city, putting on a surprise performance for those who had taken part in the Nike After Dark run. This global event invites female runners to run through the night completing 10k runs and half marathons, with six capital cities involved – Sydney, Shanghai, Seoul, Mumbai, Los Angeles and Mexico City.
Since the release of her second album, Falling or Flying, Smith has established herself as one of the premier vocalists in modern music, captivating fans with her powerful voice and emotional lyrics.
Smith is also touring the UK and Ireland later this year for those lucky enough to be on that side of the globe, with the ‘Little Things’ singer performing in cities she’s never visited before, including two highly anticipated concerts at Manchester’s O2 Apollo.
