Acclaimed UK vocalist Jorja Smith returns this year with their third studio album, What Are The Odds, set for release on Friday 21 August via FAMM/The Ordard.
Following 2024’s UK R&B Albums Chart #1 album Falling or Flying, Smith’s new record finds the BRIT Award winner embracing UK garage, 2-step, grime and Afro house across 12 tracks exploring friendship, grief, growth, self-discovery and love.
Along with the previously released single ‘What’s Done Is Done’, the album features the new track ‘Alive’. Produced by her longtime collaborator P2J, the effervescent Afrobeat collab between Smith and Wizkid is a smooth club track that highlights the chemistry between the two artists.
‘Alive’ is accompanied by a music video shot in Paris and directed by Gabriel Trautmann that shows Smith on a night out in the City of Love.
“I wanted ‘Alive’ to feel like one unforgettable summer night,” explains Trautmann. “Paris becomes almost another character in the film - full of warmth, movement and possibility. At its heart, it’s a celebration of friendship, connection and the feeling of being completely present in a moment you never want to end.”
