World-renowned Jimi Hendrix tribute act Kiss The Sky are bringing the ‘Purple Haze’ to Australian shores for the very first time this August and September.

Kiss The Sky are fronted by guitar virtuoso Jimy Bleu, the longest running Hendrix tribute specialist on the planet. He’s so respected that he’s even toured with former Hendrix bassist Billy Cox and his Band of Gypsys Experience.

Bleu is backed by a world-class band of touring musicians who have performed with stars including Aretha Franklin, Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, and John Mayall.

Kiss The Sky’s debut Aussie jaunt takes in seven dates across the country, beginning at Queanbeyan’s The Bicentennial Hall on Tuesday 26 August. Bleu and co then perform at Rozelle’s The Bridge Hotel on Thursday 28 August, Penrith’s Evan Theatre Panters on Friday 29 August, Paddington’s RSL Club on Saturday 30 August, Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday 2 September and Adelaide’s The Gov on Wednesday 3 September, with the final show at Melbourne’s The Palms At Crown on Thursday 4 September

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via totaltouring.com.au.

Kiss The Sky is more than just a tribute show; it’s an experience! Bleu makes the effort to recreate classic Hendrix moments throughout history, with everyone in the band dressing and sounding like the heroes they are emulating. The costumes are custom made and right out of Hendrix’s ‘60s wardrobe, while every performer plays replica '60s era instruments made famous by Hendrix and his band.

Hendrix fans can expect to hear all of the guitarist’s best songs, including ‘All Along The Watchtower’, ‘Purple Haze’, ‘Little Wing’, ‘Hey Joe’, ‘Foxey Lady’, ‘Voodoo Child’, ‘Fire’ and more, with Bleu known to pull out a few of Hendrix’s iconic moves, such as playing the guitar over his head and with his teeth, while on stage.

Kiss The Sky allows audiences to revel in Hendrix’s music and imagine what it was like to see the great man in his prime.

Catch Kiss the Sky at The Gov on Wednesday 3 September. Tickets on sale now via totaltouring.com.au.
