Ahead of James Reyne’s The Fall of Crawl Tour, which kicks off this weekend, the Australian Crawl frontman has announced he’s been forced to reschedule four shows on doctor’s orders.
His Penrith, Sydney, Adelaide and Bellarine shows have moved back to allow Reyne time to have the necessary procedures and treatment due to an ongoing medical condition.
“By way of explanation as to why we’ve moved some of The Fall Of Crawl shows; I’ve had a Basal Cell Carcinoma diagnosed on the skin under my left eye, a consequence of a lifetime in the sun,” explains Reyne.
“It needs to be surgically removed and involves a recovery period of a couple of weeks, so it’s meant that we’ve had to reschedule a few of the gigs.
“Huge apologies for any inconvenience, but I’ve been advised to get this procedure done and we’ll be back, meatier, beatier, bigger, brighter and bouncier than ever before.
“To that end, bring back the Slip, Slop, Slap ads and get yourself checked!”
The Fall of Crawl Tour will see Reyne going back to the beginning of his career and performing songs from all four Australian Crawl albums, including hits ‘The Boys Light Up’, ‘Downhearted’, ‘Errol’, ‘Shut Down’, ‘Reckless (Don’t Be So)’ and many more.
Running from this weekend through to June, tickets are on sale now via jamesreyne.com.au.

One of the country’s most successful acts during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, Australian Crawl spent eight years together, releasing four studio albums and two live albums, with their records Sirocco and Sons of Beaches topping the ARIA Albums Chart.
Disbanding in 1986, Reyne founded Company of Strangers and embarked on a hugely successful solo career, resulting in 14 studio albums, including his 1987 self-titled debut, which is regarded as an Australian classic.
Reyne’s upcoming Fall of Crawl Tour acts as a tribute to Australian Crawl and gives fans, old and new, the opportunity to hear Australian Crawl’s biggest hits performed live one more time.
Catch James Reyne at Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday 15 May. Tickets on sale via jamesreyne.com.au.
