Portal has been well received by critics, with Rolling Stone Magazine ranking the album the 20th best release of 2025.

Taking inspiration from a wide range of artists, Balu Brigada’s unqiue genre bending sound has seen the brotherly duo featured among SiriusXM’s Future Five of 2025 and Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artists To Watch.
Their EPs I Should Be Home and Find A Way laid the groundwork for their ascent, with 2023’s viral hit ‘Designer’ signalling their breakout moment.
Portal, the duo’s debut album, is an ambitious collection of songs, with i-D calling the lads “an actual band of brothers making tunes stacked with hooks that’ll run circles around your brain for days.”
