Rising local artist Holly Hastings has shared her first single of 2025, the captivating ‘Velvet’.
Hastings’ latest single merges orchestral arrangements with emotive vocals that pull at the heartstrings. There’s a real cinematic quality to the track, with Hastings’ alluring vocals floating over the sobering mix before an electric guitar riff takes ‘Velvet’ into exciting new territory for the singer.
Speaking about the new release, Hastings said, “With ‘Velvet,’ I wanted to create something that feels both intimate and expansive — like a quiet moment filled with magic. The orchestral layers add a dimension that brings the story to life in a way I haven’t explored before. I’m excited to share this piece of my journey with everyone.”
‘Velvet’ marks a new chapter in Hastings’ evolution as an artist, pairing her soulful roots with a bolder pop meets rock sound, capturing the power and emotion of her stirring vocals.
