It’s been ten years since Sydney’s punk ragers Hellions released their seminal third album, Opera Oblivia.
The ten-track record peaked at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was widely acclaimed by the music press, with Hysteria Mag calling Opera Oblivia Hellions’ “Nevermind, their Rocket to Russia, their Number of the Beast.”
Now in their revitalised new era with the core lineup reunited, Hellions are excited to perform Opera Oblivia in full for their adoring fans.
Hellions 10th anniversary album tour kicks off in Melbourne at Max Watts on Thursday 7 May. Dates follow at Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday 8 May, Fremantle’s Freo.Social on Saturday 9 May, Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Thursday 14 May and Brisbane’s The Triffid on Friday 15 May, with the final gig at the Coolangatta Hotel on the Gold Coast on Saturday 16 May.

Pairing post-hardcore aggression with melodic alt-rock, Hellions made a name for themselves in Australia’s alternative scene.
Comprised of Dre Faivre, Matthew Gravolin, Anthony Caruso and Josh Campiao, the group formed in 2013 and gained a reputation for their high-energy gigs, selling out shows across Australia, the UK and Europe.
Coming to national attention in 2016 with their ARIA charting third album, Opera Oblivia, Hellions followed up in 2018 with their ambitious fourth record, Rue.
