I CHOOSE VIOLENCE – ‘Human Effigy’
The Oxford Learner’s Dictionary defines an ‘effigy’ as ‘a model of a person that makes them look ugly’. If this practice required a soundtrack, deathcore would be exceptionally befitting. I CHOOSE VIOLENCE execute this noise monstrously well – Whisteria Cottage are a notable influence. However, where the outfit stands out is with their artistic endeavours utilising the incredible instru-METAL explorations of Russian Circles. The five-piece then unleash breakdowns of devastating ramifications that leave “the earth forever scarred”.
