Czech goregrind freaks Gutalax are making their way Down Under this September on their Australian Smear Campaign Tour.
The energetic quartet, known for frenetic “gore 'n' roll” sound mixing goregrind with pornogrind, have announced a run of nine shows across the nation.
As the press release reads, “Prepare for an unholy onslaught of blast beats, bowel movements and relentless party vibes as these Czech masters of scatological slam take over stages across the country!”
Gutalax’s Aussie jaunt begins at Melbourne’s The Tote on Thursday 18 September. The lads then hit Frankston’s Singing Bird Studio on Friday 19 September, Hobart’s Altar Bar on Saturday 20 September and Adelaide’s Jive on Sunday 21 September.
After a couple of days’ rest, Gutalax return to the road with shows at Perth’s Milk Bar on Tuesday 23 September, Brisbane’s The Brightside on Thursday 25 September, Canberra’s The Baso on Friday 26 September and Sydney’s Mary’s Underground on Saturday 27 September, before wrapping things up with a Sydney Harbour Boat Party on Sunday 28 September.

Formed in 2009, Gutalax are an acquired taste, with their head-thumping take on grindcore producing songs mainly about feces and sex.
The current lineup includes original members Martin “Maty” Matoušek, known for his pig-like vocals, and bassist Pavel “Kebab” Troup, alongside guitarist Tomáš “Kojas” Anderle and drummer Petr “Mr. Free” Svoboda.
Gutalax’s live shows are something to behold, with the band often wearing colourful costumes and filling the stage with absurd props as they deliver their songs with relentless energy and humour.
It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there is no doubt a Gutalax show is an experience you won’t forget in a hurry.
Catch Gutalax at Jive on Sunday 21 September. Tickets on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
