Tasmania’s New Year’s festival Great Escape is back for its sixth year with a lineup headlined by WA indie rockers Spacey Jane.
The multi-day event is held at Redbanks, Nugent from Monday 29 December 2025 to Thursday 1 January 2026 and also features big-name acts The Presets (performing a DJ set), pop rock duo Lime Cordiale and singer-songwriter Thelma Plum.
The bill also features veteran indie rockers San Cisco, surf rock act Hockey Dad, singer-songwriter Jack River, alt-rock quartet The Buoys and Northern Beaches favourites Dear Seattle.
The lineup is rounded out by Pacific Avenue, Blusher, Maddy Jane, Fool Nelson, The Tullamarines, Bec Sandridge and many more local acts.

The musical acts at this year’s Great Escape perform across three stages with a stack of bars and food stalls littered around the festival grounds.
Camping is included in the price of admission, with punters allowed to bring their own booze to consume while in the camping grounds. There will also be morning yoga sessions, a dedicated chillout area and late-night DJs keeping the party going all night long.
Last year’s event was a big success and featured the likes of Ball Park Music, Skeggs, Mallrat, The Rions, Ruby Fields, The Grogans and many more.
