Aussie singer-songwriter and producer Gordi has surprised fans today with the release of Nylon, a collection of raw and intimate tracks.

The four-track EP was recorded live-to-tape with no overdubs, edits or changes, with Gordi stripping things back to basics and giving her lyrics space to sink into the subconscious.

Created in a single afternoon with Middle Kids’ Tim Fitz and Ben Corbett on guitar, Gordi secretly sold limited edition vinyl copies of the unreleased EP to her fans during her April tour.

“I was craving something imperfect, something that I couldn’t edit or labour over,” Gordi says of the EP. “I had these four songs and asked my friend Tim Fitz if I could track them on his tape machine and in an afternoon, we recorded Nylon.”

Gordi is taking Nylon on the road this September and October, announcing a 15-date headline tour of the United States. The Sydney artist will play a series of intimate shows, allowing international fans to experience both her new material and old favourites.

Making music for close to 15 years, Gordi has released three studio albums, with her most recent being 2025’s Like Plasticine, which was nominated for this year’s ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album and placed #3 in Double J’s Best 50 Albums of 2025.

Fingers crossed Gordi announces an Aussie tour later this year.
