Post-hardcore veterans Girls Against Boys are heading down under in February for a run of special shows.
Finding success in the ‘90s, the band’s biggest album was 1998’s Freak*on*ica, Girls Against Boys’ only major label release that made it all the way to #11 on the Billboard US Heatseekers Chart.
The current lineup of OG members Scott McCloud (lead vocals, guitars) and Eli Janney (keyboards, bass, programming, backup vocals), alongside Johnny Temple (bass) and Alexis Fleisig (drums), have announced four shows next month.
Girls Against Boys’ Aussie tour kicks off at Melbourne’s The Tote on Friday 6 February and continues with dates at Adelaide’s The Jade on Saturday 7 February, Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory on Friday 13 February and Brisbane’s Crowbar on Saturday 14 February.

Formed in Washington DC, Girls Against Boys soon moved to New York in 1989 and released their debut album, Nineties vs. Eighties, 12 months later.
The band released a further five albums throughout the ‘90s, including their most popular record, Freak*on*ica, in 1998.
During the early ‘00s, Girls Against Boys played sporadically before releasing their final album, The Ghost List, in 2013, before going on another hiatus.
The band reunited in 2021 and have continued to play shows across the globe.
