Geoff Tate Announces 'The Final Chapter' Australian Tour

Geoff Tate, best known as the original voice of Queensrÿche, is returning to Australia next year for three special headline shows.

The acclaimed metal vocalist will perform Queensrÿche's hit album Operation Mindcrime in its entirety for the last time, along with the band's debut EP Queen of the Reich, which he will perform in full for the first time.

If that's not enough, Tate will also play a greatest hits set, satisfying both longtime fans and those just getting into the singer.

Tate's The Final Chapter Tour begins at The Gov in Adelaide on Wednesday 14 April, before heading to Melbourne's Croxton on Thursday 15 April, wrapping up at Sydney's Crowbar on Friday 16 April.

Tate kick-started his career as vocalist for prog metal outfit Queensrÿche, with the band achieving commercial success with their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime, which Classic Rock named as one of the "10 essential progressive metal albums" in 2016, and 1990 record Empire.

After being fired from Queensrÿche in 2012, Tate formed a new band, Operation: Mindcrime, and also released several solo records, including this year's Operation: Mindcrime III.

This upcoming tour is a fantastic way to celebrate both Queensrÿche's best album and Tate's illustrious career.
